After spending my afternoon doing laundry in Trapper Creek, I thought I deserved a couple of treats.
First, raw savory pizza.
Pizza Crust: Russell James's bread
Tomato Sauce: recipe from Delightfully Raw
Pizza Cheese
1/2 cup soaked macadamia nuts
1/2 cup soaked pine nuts
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup nooch
1/2 cup red pepper
water to desired consistency
Toppings: spinach, peppers, marinated mushrooms, parsley
Then, dessert pizza happened. I am not a great raw recipe inventor, but I do find some tasty ideas online. Follow the links to make this lovely treat!
"Crust": Ani Phyo's Banana Pancake
"Red Sauce": Sweetly Raw's Strawberry Pudding
"Cheese": Sweetly Raw's Coconut Whipped Cream
Toppings: peaches and a strawberry
Question: Are you a recipe inventor or a recipe finder?
your dessert pizza is brilliant!!! both pizzas look amazing.
ReplyDeletewow, sunlight til after midnight must be pretty wild!
We're coming home tomorrow: I'd love it to be 80 degrees, but it never gets that warm in Homer. Glad it sounds like you're having a good summer.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm more of a recipe inventor, but I love to browse recipes and often "find" recipes that I then tweak that way.

ReplyDeleteThe night light is crazy, Kelli. I love it, but people who visit have a really hard time sleeping. Currently it doesn't get dark at all, just a little dusky from 2-3 am.
@Ela
ReplyDeleteHope you have a safe, quick trip home, Ela!
I was just in Fairbanks for a outdoor wedding and it was 90 degrees! I had sweat dripping down my back- I felt so bad for the bride and groom in their formal wear.
beautiful pizza--I have missed raw food prep for several weeks in a row now and I am just missing all of the fun. Simple, easy things right now due to family health stuff.
ReplyDeletePeace and Raw Health,
